Description
Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream is the product that made the brand — a barrier repair cream for skin that is irritated, stinging or reacting to something.
The name explains the formula: 3 types of panthenol, 4 ceramides and 5 soothing plant extracts including madecassoside, the purified calming compound from centella. Panthenol supports healing, ceramides rebuild the barrier that lets moisture escape, and the extracts bring the redness down.
The texture is a rich cream that still absorbs, which is why it is used both as a daily moisturizer for sensitive skin and as a rescue cream after over-exfoliation, retinoid irritation or a procedure.
How to use: as the last step of your routine, apply an even layer over the face. Morning and evening. When skin is very irritated, apply a thicker layer overnight as a mask.
Size: 50 ml
Frequently asked questions
What is a damaged skin barrier?
When the skin's outer layer is disrupted — by over-exfoliation, harsh cleansers or weather — moisture escapes and irritants get in. The signs are stinging, tightness, redness and flaking on skin that was fine before.
Can I use it while using retinol?
Yes, and it is one of the best pairings. Apply it after the retinoid, or underneath it to buffer, to reduce dryness and flaking.
Is it too rich for oily skin?
It is a repair cream rather than a daily oily-skin moisturizer. Use it at night, or only on the areas that are irritated.
