The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is the brand's best known serum and a common first step for oily or congested skin. Niacinamide, a form of vitamin B3, is used at 10% here, supported by 1% zinc PCA.

Together they work on the look of visible shine, enlarged pores and blemish-prone areas, aiming for a more balanced, even looking surface. The formula is water-based and very light, so it disappears into the skin and layers under anything else in a routine.

How to use: morning or evening on clean, dry skin. Apply a few drops after cleansing and toning and before creams and oils, spreading it over the whole face and avoiding the eye area. Follow with moisturizer, and with sunscreen during the day. At this strength it can feel like a lot for sensitive skin, so start once daily.
